Links Abound

Here lies an excessive amount of Stella Links that have gathered under my "Stella favorites" because reading about Stella is the next best thing to watching it.

I highly recommend all interviews. They are excellent.

No credit needed, just puts a smile on my face to see it in the public :)

Re: ahem

look at this one, with all the links. I'm impressed.

I wish I could include my old The State website, but alas, unless you can link directly to my harddrive, we're shit out of luck.

The State is INCREDIBLE

If you have any state information thats not on the existing sites, you could always post it.

Re: The State is INCREDIBLE

I don't think I have anything new, just my old episode guide dissecting every skit and some crappy looking pics. I guess I'm just lazy and haven't gotten around to doing anything with it. the best part is definitely the episode guide, especially since David Wain sent me synopsis' for all the skits that were filmed but never made it to air. It was interesting to get some new info on the lost skits.

anyway, I concur that the state is incredible. what I find most incredible is that when I first watched the show, it was 1994 or so and I was in 7th grade and thought it was absolutely hysterical. now, I'm 22, and I still have yet to find any show that is funnier. same thing with The Adventures of Pete and Pete. funny as a kid, funny as a semi-adult. amazing stuff.

Re: The State is INCREDIBLE

I wish i was as knowledgable as you in '94. I don't think i even knew MTV existed at that point (although i was 9-years-old.) I've only discovered the State within the last two months, and it is undoubtably the funniest television show I've ever seen. And I can't bear to watch other sketch shows such as Mad TV and SNL. The State is just so clever it takes comedy to a new level - funny.

Re: The State is INCREDIBLE

I'm always interested to hear about how people came across The State since it left the airwaves. in college me and some friends would start drinking and watch a few episodes before going out, and that was how I got a lot of them into the show. but of course that only works if you have shitty, bootleg copies on VHS like myself. I can't imagine watching them all online.

anyway, if you want to chat about The State ms. kimb, send me an email at rpkap@conncoll.edu so we don't have to clutter up the board. I was going to email you, but I'm pretty LiveJournal illiterate and couldn't figure it out. I'm always down to talk about the show that shaped my comedic views.

my site, www.brandiediss.com, has stella photos as well as a crapload of soundtracks live photos [many are posted on the soundtrackslive site, but the ones from the vh-1 taping and the second run of pretty in pink are just on my site]. :o)

It's incredible how much A.D. Miles can look like Molly Ringwald. Those are some high quality pictures. Do you know if there is going to be another soundtracks live?

February 2 2005, 04:45:47 UTC 7 years ago

oh man, i know. my friends and i decided a while ago that a.d. is The Only Molly Ringwald That Matters. :o) thanks for the compliment--i don't think there is another soundtracks show in the works right now because they are *still* tweaking the vh-1 pilot that ran in september. hopefully everything will go well with that, though, and soundtracks live will be all over the teevee for everyone to see. before the tv thing came up, though, they were thinking of doing "the big chill." so who knows!
